Fundraising in memory of Noah William Thomas

My Story

We have received so many kind and lovely messages from everyone asking how they can help or where to send funeral flowers for Noah which we are so incredibly grateful for but we feel that we would much rather any contributions go towards this amazing cause in memory of Noah if anyone feels that they would like to.

Noah was born in the University Hospital of Wales (The Heath in Cardiff) in the Snowdrop delivery suite where myself and my Husband Jamie spent a number of days around his birth and also the Teardrop room where we spent some time before being discharged. These rooms are specifically for bereaved parents like us. They are fully funded by 'Sands Charity' which is absolutely incredible - without them, none of this would be possible. The two rooms gave us the privacy that we truly needed, away from the normal maternity wards/delivery suites and the happiness that usually surrounds these areas where parents are welcoming their lovely new born babies. This is just one of a few hospitals that 'Sands' has helped to make a massive difference. We were very fortunate that UHW is where I had to give birth to Noah but unfortunately this is not always the case for other families where hospitals don't have private bereavement rooms to stay or deliver their baby in so we would love to help in any way we can to make this possible for anyone who sadly has to go through such a heartbreaking and horrendous time.

This is just one of many ways that 'Sands' helps bereaved families like us and with more awareness, fundraising and donations they will be able to continue helping families in the future. Without 'Sands' we would never have received the care, privacy and support that we did (of course along with our amazing NHS!!!)

We will always be forever grateful 🤍
